Our Founder

Buya Azmedia Istiqlal

After finishing his Master’s in Biology at Udayana University, Pak Buya started Urban Biologist Bali in 2018. A year later, he created Urban Compost to help solve the organic waste problem and create professional organic waste management services in Bali. Today, Urban Compost is the main "green arm" of his work and is still going strong!

General Manager

I Komang Andika Putra

As General Manager, Pak Andika oversees the heart of our operations. He is responsible for organizing food scrap and garden waste pickup schedules, mapping out driver routes, and managing client relations. Whether he's in the office or out at the site helping Pak Timoti and the team with field operations, he ensures everything at Urban Compost runs like clockwork.

Pak Timo (Timoti) Timoti is responsible for all operations at the composting site. His duties include assigning tasks to the "composting-man", monitoring compost temperatures, managing turning schedules, and overseeing leaf processing (shredding). He also supervises the wastewater garden, manages compost packaging, and handles various other operational tasks.

Administration and Social Media Team

Devyna and Dewi are your warm and helpful customer service team, ready to assist with all your needs and inquiries. Bokrie helps manage your accounts and tracks your daily waste statistics to show your impact. Meanwhile, Nelson is the creative mind behind our digital world, crafting the Instagram posts, TikToks, and all the social media content you love. Together, they keep Urban Compost connected and running smoothly!

Compost Man

Our hardworking site team is responsible for the magic of turning waste into "black gold." Led by Pak Timoti, they manage the daily shredding, turning, and processing at our composting site.
